What's waiting for you

In this Pilates training program you will learn to teach the classical repertoire developed by Joseph Pilates.

You will learn that this training approach is one of the origins of functional training and is supported by the latest and ongoing research on fascial connective tissue, fascial training and bio-tensegrity.

This training program is designed to help you understand the repertoire through and with your body, to literally embody it.

Teaching Pilates becomes easy with this experienced foundation.

You will learn the entire repertoire as a whole, not in modules separated by equipment.

How is your training structured?

We use Joseph Pilates “Return to life” as a basis.

He has immortalized the mat repertoire and his thoughts on movement in this book.

Joseph Pilates’ guiding principles for his work were:

  • Whole body movement
  • Whole body health
  • Breathing

We will use the original sequence of exercises on the mat as a guide.

This will make you realise that these exercises represent the “top class”. All exercises on the equipment are designed to simplify and explain the ideas behind the mat.

  • You will learn how the Pilates equipment helps your clients to discover and get to know their bodies.
  • You will recognize the high functionality of the Pilates exercises.
  • You will see how the method grounds our bodies and dissolves, replaces and rehabilitates dysfunctional movement patterns.
  • You will understand that this method is not a classic fitness program, but a means to an end that allows you and your clients to face all chosen challenges with a resilient and functional body.

Why Pilates fascia training?

Pilates is fascia training. If you get into the material of the repertoire, you will notice that the ideas of fascia training appear in all Pilates exercises, so it is not Pilates plus fascia training at all, but simply Pilates training as it was always intended.

You will experience how the classic Pilates exercises bring you in contact with your fascial body and your fascial movement, and how you connect and move within this network.

The resulting elasticity makes Joseph Pilate's requirement “As much as needed as less as possible” very easy to implement.

You will learn how tensegrity changes the way we move by using expansion and connection.

After this way of moving is anchored in you and you have recognized your potential for change, you will be able to help all your clients to meet all challenges with ease, elasticity, and resilience

How long does the training program last?

You can imagine this training as an apprenticeship that is tailored to you and the other members of the group.

As a rule, you will have lessons about every 2-4 weeks. How many hours in a row will be discussed individually. You must assume that you should have at least 3 hours to practice for each hour taught. Since I have a full studio, practice times are limited, and you should have the opportunity to practice elsewhere on all equipment.

The exact number of hours in the program varies depending on the pace of learning. A guideline value of 180 direct contact hours is set. As a rule, the total duration is between 2 and 3 years.

In addition to the training hours, you will complete personal training sessions that address all topics that concern you personally and not the repertoire. Here too, the exact number cannot be defined, the minimum is usually 10 per year. Personal training doesn’t have to take place with me.

What do you need to bring with you?

First, enthusiasm for the Pilates method and the desire to work with people. A fascination with our human bodies also helps immensely.

The following knowledge is required:

  • Functional anatomy of the musculoskeletal system (muscles, bones, joints and their function)
  • Basic knowledge of fascia research
  • Knowledge of common injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system
  • 50 hours of Pilates personal training, experience on all Pilates equipment including mats, group classes are not included

You can also take all the necessary pre-requisites with me to prepare, either in workshops or individually. These preparatory courses are charged separately and are not included in the price.

How much does the training program cost?

Since the program does not have a definitive number of hours, I can only give you an approximate price.

My hourly rate is 140.00 CHF, which is divided by the number of participants.

This results in total costs of:

  • approx. 10,000 - 13,000 CHF for 2 people
  • approx. 6,700 - 8,400 CHF for 3 people
  • approx. 5,000 - 6,250 for 4 people
